Tips to Know Before You Go:

  • Arrive late. Crowds tend to thin out come late afternoon—especially on cloudy days.
  • Go on a weekday, if possible. It gets crowded on most weekends.
  • If you plan to visit often, consider purchasing a season pass.
  • Bring a stroller or wagon for young kids.
  • Strollers and wheelchairs can be rented at the park and reserved online.
  • Lockers can be rented at the park.
  • Download the Sesame Place App for their map, daily show times and specials.
  • Be camera ready. There will be plenty of photo ops.
  • You can always find Sesame Street characters at “1-2-3 Smile with Me!”
  • Make a reservation for Character Dining. You’ll get to meet your favorite Sesame Street characters. Bonus: On a hot day, escaping to a room with A/C is worth the investment.
  • Skip the lines with “Abby’s Magic Queue”—Sesame Place’s version of Disney’s FastPass.
  • The Neighborhood Street Party Parade is a must see so be sure to get there early to claim your spot.
  • For the best place to see the parade, aim to be in the middle of the parade route between the Plaza and the Neighborhood Street (“where the black meets the blue.”)
  • Lines for rides are shortest during the parades.
  • If you’re trying to avoid the crowds, dine at the restaurants during the parade.
  • Arrive at the theaters before the scheduled show time to get the best seat.
  • Swimwear is required for water activities. Be sure to bring a change of clothes, swim diapers, a towel and water shoes.
  • Consider renting a private cabana.
  • Going with a group? Check out the group rates (for a minimum of 15 guests).
  • Minimize the meltdowns and keep your visit short and sweet. Purchase a season pass so you won’t feel rushed to see and do everything in one visit.
  • Don’t pay full price. Buy your ticket online before you arrive at the park to save time and money.

Early childhood is a magical time and Sesame Place is an exceptionally special place to celebrate your child’s imagination.
